History
The history of PE (Penis Envy) magic mushrooms can be traced back to the late 1970s when Terence McKenna and his brother Dennis began experimenting with psychedelic mushrooms in the Amazon rainforest. They collected spores from the Psilocybe cubensis mushroom and brought them back to the United States, where they began cultivating them.
The PE strain was first isolated by Roger Rabbit, a mycologist who worked closely with the McKenna brothers. It is believed to have originated from a mutation in the Amazonian strain of the Psilocybe cubensis mushroom. The distinctive name of the strain is said to have been inspired by its phallic shape and potent effects.
PE quickly gained popularity among the psychedelic community due to its intense and unique psychedelic experience. The strain is known for its strong visuals, euphoric feelings, and spiritual insights. However, it is also notorious for its difficult cultivation and low spore production.
Over the years, several sub-varieties of PE have emerged, including APE (Albino Penis Envy), Uncut Penis Envy, and Texas Penis Envy. Each sub-variety has its unique characteristics, but all share the potent psychedelic effects and difficult cultivation.
Today, PE magic mushrooms remain one of the most sought-after strains in the psychedelic community, with a rich and fascinating history that continues to evolve.
